On August 20th, Spoon's Kill the Moonlight will celebrate its 20th anniversary. To celebrate this bona-fide classic, Matador will release the record in a limited-edition white vinyl pressing. Now widely recognized as a “masterpiece” (PopMatters), the album features the band’s much-loved tracks “The Way We Get By” and "Small Stakes." Kill the Moonlight receives the reissue treatment alongside titles by Pavement, Yo La Tengo, and Interpol as part of this year's Matador’s Revisionist History catalog series. In February, Spoon released its tenth album, Lucifer on the Sofa, which Rolling Stone says “might be Spoon’s best record ever.” This summer the band will join forces with Interpol in a co-headlining tour across North America.
